Rushing around the get those final gifts? TODAY's digital lifestyle expert Mario Armstrong joined TODAY's Erica Hill to round up the best apps (all free!) to make your last-second shopping easier, and cheaper!

Apps to help you find discounts:

1. PriceBlink

PrinceBlink is an app that you can add to your Internet browser, either Firefox, Safari or Chrome (note that the app is not optimized for Internet Explorer), that searches more than 4,000 retailers to find the cheapest options for you. Here's how it works: When you go on a retail site to shop for an item, you will see a yellow pop-up bar on the top of your screen. Click on that bar, and it will drop down all of the online stores that are selling the product, and how much they are selling it for. Granted, while the app searches more than 4,000 stores, it doesn't search everything, so you might find something for less. But this really can be a great tool.

2. RetailMeNot

RetailMeNot, available on both iOS and Android, has coupons for both online and in-store purchases for more than 50,000 retailers that you don't need to cut out and bring to the store. You just need to type in the name of the store in the app to find your coupon, and display the app's coupon during checkout to receive your discount. An added bonus: the app can use a GPS tracker to alert you when there are deals close by!

Apps to help you find gifts:

3. PS Dept.

PS Dept. is more for the shoppers who are too busy to go shopping for hours, and can also afford designer prices. In essence, the app is like having a real personal shopper in a designer boutique from the comfort of wherever you want to be. Here's how it works: you send a text to the "experts" of what you want, and they send you back photos of what they find for you. If you like what they have chosen, you can opt to buy the item right there through the app. Free shipping and returns makes the shopping even easier.

4. Fetch

Fetch not only helps organize your holiday shopping but also for your day-to-day needs. Like PS Dept, Fetch sets you up with your own personal buying assistant, a real person who will look for the best deal on whatever product you are looking for. You can text or send a photo of the item you are looking for, and your Fetch assistant will search for the item and plug in coupon codes to find you the best deal. So you get to relax and go about your day while your shoppers do all the work. Also, if you find your item at a cheaper price within a week of your purchase, the app will credit you the difference.

Apps to help you organize your holiday shopping:

5. Centrallo

Centrallo is great for organizing your holiday purchases by letting you create folders and lists, and sub-lists, for every person on your own holiday list. You can also leave photo and voice memos in the list, to remind you to pick up holiday items. And the app also allows you to share your lists, so you and your spouse can share the same list while shopping for your kids.

6. Slice

Slice is a great app for keeping track of all your online purchases, receipts and shipping. No more digging through emails to find receipts or tracking numbers; it's all in the app no matter where you shop. The app will also notify you if there's a price drop or a product recall from the item you purchased. And it even provides weekly or daily details of your spending so you can easily stay on top of your budget.
